A boat trip to Tyniec along the Vistula River

Tyniec is one of the most popular destinations near Krakow. This thousand-year-old monastery is located on a beautiful cliff on the right bank of the Vistula river, surrounded by peaceful, green forests. The Tyniec Abbey, one of the oldest in Poland, is now a mixture of styles – starting from the remains of the original Romanesque monastery through the Gothic chancel to late-Baroque parts of the interior. You will have an opportunity to visit the church and hear Vespers sung by Benedictine monks.

During the trip you will see a breathtaking panorama of Cracow from the level of the Vistula River. Great tenement houses, winding narrow streets, river embankments and most of all – a unique view of the Royal Castle and Cathedral on Wawel Hill, the Dragon's Den and the Wawel Dragon itself at the foot of the hill. Further, the waterway of the Vistula river will lead you through the most attractive parts of the upper section of the river. You will have an opportunity to admire, among others, spectacular views of the Bielany Monastery surrounded by the picturesque Wolski Wood, as well as the majestic Benedictine Abbey in Tyniec built on high rocks on the other side of the river.

The trip will start after the lectures and take about four hours. A light meal will be served on the boat.
